It is very disappointing that things like these happened. alas this did happened in Beowulf the movie. It was very upsetting that Beowulf was not as I imagine him to be. Beowulfs character in the film was the opposite. It was always just about him , the significance and importance of the heroic Anglo saxon  Beowulf was lost. Beowulfs quality of a hero was lost. He was always trying to show score his body in the movie by ripping his raiment off. In the movie when he was going to flake Grendel he did it completely naked. Richard Corliss from Times says Before confronting Grendel, he strips himself naked...
