Analyzation of Annabel leeward

Edgar Allan Poe wrote a very lovely and sad poem Annabel Lee in 1849
The poem seems to be set in the Gothic period. The theme of this poem is based around
beauty and stopping point and a beautiful women that could not have fully. There be many metaphors such as:
her high born kinsmen, the fly seraphs of Heaven.
Back then childhood was thought to be pure and good and this poem celebrates child-like emotions and the love that is consistent with the romantic era. Poe treats childhood love for
Annabel as a love that transcends all. though they were very young, their love for one another
was so intense to a greater extent so than that of an adult. They were one. Edgar Allan Poe had a hard life with many challenges, tipsiness being one that he never overcame. He wrote Annabel Lee
in 1849 and it was published shortly after his death as his last complete poem.
In a sense Edgar Allan Poes love for writing about death and beautiful woman might of sealed his faith. In this poem he did not seem to be afraid. He thought that the angels were jealous of this bullocky love amid them and that nothing could come in between them not even death.
